A retrospective of Lansdale’s Centennial celebration, a time that was packed with parades, plays, dances, tours and plenty of chin whiskers.

*TUESDAY, DEC. 8: STAYING POWER: Businesses that Stood the Test of Time.

Through good economic times and bad, some local businesses served generations of area residents.

*TUESDAY, JAN. 12: AMUSEMENT PARKS.

Big or small, these entertainment meccas provided a lifetime of memories.

*TUESDAY, MARCH 9: FIREFIGHTERS: Volunteers Who Answered the Call.

THURSDAY, MARCH 18: A second presentation at the Towamencin Fire House.

The history of fire protection in the North Penn Valley.

TUESDAY, APRIL 13: THE ANNUAL BANQUET

This will once again be held at the Wm Penn Inn highlighted by the presentation of the Sixth Annual Edwin G. Holl Historic Achievement Award.

*TUESDAY, MAY 11: MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP: Community Crossroads.

The third in our annual series featuring the municipalities that surround Lansdale.

DATE TO BE DETERMINED: THE PHOTOGRAPHIC WORLD OF ROBERT LINDEN.

The Society pays tribute to Bob Linden - railroad conductor, historian, and community icon - with a show featuring some of the many photo images he captured over more than half a century.

*These programs will be held at the Lansdale Parks and Recreation Building, Seventh St. and Lansdale Ave., beginning at 7:30 pm. No admission charge; donations are greatly appreciated.
