Lansdale Historical Society Presents Its 11th Annual Spring Tea
The Lansdale Historical Society’s 11th Annual Spring Tea will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Lansdale Borough Hall, 1 Vine Street. Guests will enjoy a full luncheon tea followed by a program if historical interest. A basket raffle and door prizes will add to the festivities.
Dolly Rosen of Warwick Furnace Farms in Chester County will present a program titled Not Just Peter Rabbit: The Many Sides of Conservationist Beatrix Potter. The program will profile Beatrix Potter, not only as an author and illustrator of books for children, but also as a “world-class conservationist, prizewinning sheep breeder, and expert mycologist” (biologist who studies fungi). Rosen is a historian of the Victorian era as well as a culinary historian. Her family’s lavender farm has been under conservatorship since the 1700s.
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. and the meal will be served promptly at 11:00. Tickets are still $35.00. Reservations can be made by calling the Lansdale Historical Society at 215-855-1872 or Marti Drumheller at 267-649-7909.
