This is the building adjacent to the Jenkins Homestead, which was acquired and made available
to the society by the Borough of Lansdale in 2000. Previously, it had been a private residence
and carpentry shop.
Since it was acquired, much work went into the plans for modifying it to be suitable for use as a
research center. Through the efforts and commitment of society members in the early 2000s, we have today a research center in which may be found records of residents and businesses of this area for the past 150 + years.
Visitors, genealogists, and researchers are welcome to peruse our extensive library and local newspaper archives. Our own researchers are available to assist you in your quest for historical
information.
